How do we talk about race? If we identify as White, how do we talk about race in a way that’s impactful and yet, doesn’t place the burden on others to explain what it’s like to have experienced racism in this country? If we identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and Other People of Color, how do we raise the issue of race within our immigrant communities and families who have experienced so much racial trauma?
Healing Equity United believes that having strong interpersonal relationships based on trust, connectedness, and psychological safety is one of the key ways to moving ALL of us towards having fruitful communications that lead to culture change. Join us for an experiential learning workshop that will help you:
Goals:
Learn how to have more productive and impactful conversations about race with people in your family, community, and at work
Be more open to accepting feedback and recognize when your identity fragility shows up
